Un nouvel opus de ARCHES se projette à l'horizon. Une captation à la chapelle des Hospitalières de Montréal avec un choeur uniquement féminin. L’ancienne chapelle des Hospitalières a été érigée entre 1859 et 1861 par Victor Bourgeau, architecte principal du diocèse montréalais à l’époque. Aujourd'hui, la chapelle est la propriété de la Ville de Montréal et fait partie de la Cité des Hospitalières.

Certains morceaux des cantates du Cantor ont su séduire tous les publics, comme le Choral du Veilleur de la Cantate BWV 140, ou le « Jésus, que ma joie demeure » de la Cantate BWV 147, tant de fois transcrit et adapté, avec sa ritournelle qui entoure comme une guirlande la mélodie du choral. Ces morceaux qui, aussi beaux que familiers, réconfortent l’âme, vous pourrez les entendre dans leurs sonorités premières tout en découvrant les autres attraits des cantates qui leur servent d’écrin.

This concert of Les Rugissants shines a light on Spanish Choral Music of the 20th and 21stCenturies, but also on an imaginary Spain evoked by composers from altogether other regions.

Considering Matthew Shepard (2016) by Craig Hella Johnson is a powerful and soulful musical response to the death of Matthew Shepard (1976–1998), a University of Wyoming student murdered in Laramie, Wyoming, apparently because of his homosexuality.
